Bachelor of Technology and Bachelor of Legislative Law, commonly known as B.Tech LLB, is one of the common integrated courses of law. B.Tech LL.B is a course in law that is completed over a period of six years and aspirants can pursue this programme right after completing their higher secondary education. Some of the leading universities and colleges in the country offer the course of B.Tech LLB as a part of its specialisations of law.

In the course of B.Tech LLB, engineering subjects are taught to the candidates in the first three years of the programme and it is followed by teaching law subjects in the remaining three years. Typically, a B.Tech LLB course is covered in all colleges semester wise, where each semester is usually six months long.

Eligibility

Students aspiring to pursue LLB courses should score at least 45% in Class XII and qualify for the entrance test required for admission in LLB courses. However, for pursuing a simple LLB course, you need to have completed your graduation with a minimum of 45% aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA from a recognized college. Also, there is no age limit for pursuing an LLB in India.

Career

After the successful completion of the course, students can either choose the professional side or can also choose to study further with courses like LLM or PhD in Law. From becoming a lawyer or an advocate to a paralegal, a law officer, lecturer, and more, there are various legal roles offered to these graduates.
